This year Gauge was a Frog and Grace was a Witch. I kept teasing Gauge that Grace was going to put him in her witch's brew! lol

We met up with the cousins to do some Trick or Treating in Mama and Papaw's neighborhood. With the cousins getting older.....sadly our number of Trick or Treaters has dwindled in the last couple of years! 2008 , 2009

Gauge did pretty well for the first few streets then decided that it was a lot faster to hop back in the stroller and have Daddy push him to the next house. He also decided that it was more fun to reach into the people's bowls and pick out the exact piece of candy that he wanted.
He was also cracking us up because he would walk up to the people, get the candy and then say Thank you. While walking away from them...he would then say "and trick or treat!" A little backwards, but it got the job done! :)

For whatever reason we could not for the life of us get Grace's hat to stay on her head. {note to costume makers....all hats NEED a chin strap of some sort}. This caused a few moments of breakdown mode with tears and angry looks. After the first street she decided to loose the hat...and was much happier after that.

The kids had a great time running from house to house in the short one hour time span our town gives them. As a kid, my favorite part of trick or treat was sitting on the floor with my brother once it was over....dumping out our bags and swapping the loads of candy we got!
I can't hardly believe that we have yet another Halloween down. Boy, does time zip by quickly when you're having fun! I love my family!
