Our Memorial Day Weekend

seen through the lens of my cell phone camera. That's right....I didn't take my good camera anywhere this weekend. I was determined to just enjoy my time with my family and soak it all in.

Friday night we visited with my grandparents. Grandpa is now on Hospice care. After our visit we went with my mom and dad on a late night shopping trip to the neighboring town. We ended up eating a really late dinner at Sonic. It was a gorgeous night to sit out under the stars.

Saturday, Grace had a friend's birthday party to attend. While she was there, my Mom & Dad watched Gauge so he wouldn't feel left out. This meant Mommy got to spend a few hours enjoying nothing but this:

After her friend's party we all went to yet another birthday party. Saturday night, the kids did this with Daddy and all their cousins followed by a late night bonfire. While they enjoyed the bonfire, I slipped back over to Grandma and Grandpas to visit with my Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Sunday Shawn and I spent the majority of our day out in the garden picking weeds and laying irrigation while the kids did this:

Around 3pm on Sunday we all got cleaned up and headed back out the door for a graduation party. Once home from the party...Grace camped out with Uncle Keith and her cousins down by the pond.

Monday we had lunch with Shawn's parents for his birthday....followed by fun with the kids at the playground. By time I got around to making his birthday cake it was already 7pm. You should have seen the look on the kid's faces when I told them that they got to eat cake for supper. Even sweeter was seeing them sing Happy Birthday to their Daddy!

We had a very full weekend. I loved every moment of it. Time with my family and sunshine filled days. What more could you ask for. How was your long weekend?
