Interesting Conversation

Gauge: Oh, she's gone!
Teacher: Who's gone?
Gauge: The lady
Teacher: What lady?
Gauge: Over there (pointing toward the drum set on stage)
Teacher: What does she look like?
Gauge; She's white
Teacher: White like what? (to be sure he knew what white was)
Gauge: White like those tissues.
Teacher: What is she doing?
Gauge: Just watching us?
Teacher: Is she nice?
Gauge: Oh yeah, she's nice. She makes me glad!
Teacher: Do you talk to her?
Gauge: No
Teacher: Why?
Gauge: I'm scared.
Teacher: Are you just shy?
Gauge: Yeah
Teacher: But she's nice?
Gauge: Yeah....but he's not (pointing toward the balcony)
Teacher: What does he look like?
Gauge: He's black and has fangs. He's there and there and there (pointing to various spots in the gym. But they (pointing toward the stage) made him leave in the smoke.
His teachers said that his tone of voice and the manner in which he talked to them was not like telling a story or making up a was very matter of fact.
I have always believe that because children are so pure and innocent that they may be able to see and know things that we as adults don't. Did Gauge see an angel yesterday? Could this have been his guardian angel? It gives me goose bumps thinking about it.

Have you ever had an experience similar to this with your children?
