Pre Easter Festivities

Every year we color Easter eggs with the kids. This is the first year that Gauge has actually been old enough to partake in the fun.

Mamaw and Papa Richardson came over on Thursday to dye Easter eggs with the kids.

In to the gorgeous colors they go.....
One dozen masterpieces!
Today we went with Grandma and Grandpa Shipman to the Candlewood Easter egg hunt. Here is Gracie getting a butterfly painted on her cheek.
Grace was so excited to see the Easter Bunny!
Gauge.....no so much. He was a bit afraid....and who could really blame him?
Papa and 3 of his grandchildren.
Gauge didn't really want much to do with his Easter basket. He was content to go pick up the eggs and bring them back to Daddy.
Look what I found in the grass Dad!!
Checking out his loot
When it was time for Grace's age group to go......it was such a whirlwind of activity, this is the only picture we snapped before it was all over. Those kids were quick!
Family picture with the bunny.
After a long day of fun, the kids are finally in bed dreaming about what the Easter Bunny is going to bring them.

Here is what they'll get in the morning :-)
I hope that everyone has a blessed Easter!

We've dyed eggs, visited with the bunny, hunted for eggs, and got brand new Easter outfits. But is that what is Easter is all about? Absolutely not! Don't forget the TRUE MEANING OF EASTER!

  1. It looks like you all had a great time. :) My Grace wouldn't go near the Easter bunny, so I know how Gauge felt. I guess a six foot bunny is a scary thing.
    Happy Easter!

  4. Glad you had a good time! We colored eggs in kind of a rush on saturday night 'cause we had to leave to teach Sunday school...it was still fun, though!
