Adventures in Couponing: Overage

Yesterday, my sweet hubby did my Walgreens run for me. Above is a picture of our loot for this week. You will see:
2 boxes of Reynolds Wrap
2 boxes of Life Cereal
3 bags of Halls Cough Drops
1 box of Once a Day Vitamin Powder

After coupons, when it was all said and done.....get this.....
Walgreens PAID US $.06

You read it right ladies and gentlemen. We did so great with our coupons this week that we have "overage" and Walgreens actually handed over all of that stuff and $.06 to my hubby.

Every week, I have witnessed my stock pile grow larger and larger....especially in regards to toiletries and personal care items. I think right now in my bathroom closet I have:
5 tubes of toothpaste
5 bottles of dish soap
3 bottles of shampoo, 3 bottles of conditioner
Couple boxes of medicine
6 Lysol toilet bowl cleaners
6 cans of spray Lysol
3 four packs of toilet paper
3 boxes of Kleenex
feminine care items

I have found that these are they type of items that you can save the most money on. Why, because generally you just buy them when you run out. When you go to buy them, you don't have a coupon. So stock up now and save money and time in the long run!

  3. I use coupons religiously but only when I am low on. I started stock piling on toiletries but not the pantry items.
