I have a love hate relationship . . .

with Once Upon A Child! I hate that you can take some really nice clothes there to sell and they either won't take them or they don't give you very much for them. I love them because if you have the time to dedicate to sifting, you can find some really great deals.

I am not much of a garage sale person . . . yes I know that there are great finds to be had. I just cannot drag my behind out of bed that early in the morning on a Saturday. And forget the thought of taking two grumpy kids with me!

So my alternative for great deals . . .

1. Shop out of season on the clearance racks.

2. Children's Place outlet (with a coupon I find online combined with my 10% credit card).

3. Once Upon A Child.

I just got back from an excursion to the Westerville location with my mom and Grace. I found 3 shirts, 1 dress, 2 pair of jeans, and a pair of PJ's for Grace.

3 shirts, 3 pair of pants, 2 PJ's, and a Halloween Costume for Gauge.
All for . . . $65. I think that's a bargain considering most of it was Children's Place or Baby Gap. It's expensive to clothe our ever growing children. Might as well save a buck or two while we're at it right? How do you save money on your kids clothes?

  1. It takes such a special and patient person to shop for good deals. My friend is good at it and I can't do it to save my life. Great finds!

  2. I'm all about the Goodwill store and garage sales! My kids are all dressed in Gap, Old Navy, Children's Place, Gymboree, Polo, etc. for just a fraction of the cost. And it's even more fun to look at them in their adorable outfits and think, Hmmm, that whole thing only cost $5!!
I've been meaning to post pics of my finds at our local thrift shop, now I"m even more motivated...
