with Once Upon A Child! I hate that you can take some really nice clothes there to sell and they either won't take them or they don't give you very much for them. I love them because if you have the time to dedicate to sifting, you can find some really great deals.
I am not much of a garage sale person . . . yes I know that there are great finds to be had. I just cannot drag my behind out of bed that early in the morning on a Saturday. And forget the thought of taking two grumpy kids with me!
So my alternative for great deals . . .
1. Shop out of season on the clearance racks.
2. Children's Place outlet (with a coupon I find online combined with my 10% credit card).
3. Once Upon A Child.
I just got back from an excursion to the Westerville location with my mom and Grace. I found 3 shirts, 1 dress, 2 pair of jeans, and a pair of PJ's for Grace.

3 shirts, 3 pair of pants, 2 PJ's, and a Halloween Costume for Gauge.
All for . . . $65. I think that's a bargain considering most of it was Children's Place or Baby Gap. It's expensive to clothe our ever growing children. Might as well save a buck or two while we're at it right? How do you save money on your kids clothes?
It takes such a special and patient person to shop for good deals. My friend is good at it and I can't do it to save my life. Great finds!
ReplyDeleteI'm all about the Goodwill store and garage sales! My kids are all dressed in Gap, Old Navy, Children's Place, Gymboree, Polo, etc. for just a fraction of the cost. And it's even more fun to look at them in their adorable outfits and think, Hmmm, that whole thing only cost $5!!
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to post pics of my finds at our local thrift shop, now I"m even more motivated...
